Our individual health insurance options include
HMO
These plans use doctors who work for/contract with the HMO. It generally won't cover out-of-network care, unless it's an emergency.
PPO
These plans contract with a provider network, so you and your employees pay less for services when using in-network participants.
EPO
This type of plan generally offers lower premiums than a PPO, but does not cover out-of-network providers at all, unless it’s an emergency.
POS
These plans have features of both HMOs and PPOs. See in-network providers if your primary care doctor refers you to them, but pay more out of pocket.
HDHP
An HDHP can be any of the above plans, just with a higher maximum out-of-pocket cost—after which the plan covers 100%.
HSA
Save to cover your higher HDHP costs by putting money tax-free into an HSA to be used for eligible medical expenses. HSAs are only available for HDHP enrollees.
